Products which need to be activated on Steam are not delivered as a download, you will receive a so called Steam License Key. In this case, we will send you the activation code for the product. A common file type used by many freeware add-ons and on some commercial products for Train Simulator (mainly older products) is the .rwp. This "RailWorksPackage" file is some kind of a zipped file that is created and imported into Train Simulator with a program called "utilities.exe". You will find this application in the main folder of your Train Simulator installation.
To install a downloaded .rwp-file, follow these steps:
Open the utilities.exe
Navigate to the Package Manager tab in the top navigation bar
Click on Install - a new window pops up
Navigate to the desired .rwp-file and click on Open
The installation will start automatically
Repeat for any other .rwp-file you want to install
Close the utilities.exe program
Run Train Simulator
Choose the desired scenario, or (if included)the QuickDrive consist and drive your new engine.
